Park Place Seniors Living Supports Free Health Care Aid Training Program in BC

BC’s current climate has highlighted the important need for increased education and training opportunities in seniors’ care. Recently, the BC Care Provider Association (BCCPA), secured a new Community Workforce Response grant of over $800,000 to train 48 students interested in pursuing careers as health care assistants. The funding will cover the entire cost of tuition for participants in addition to providing financial supports for travel, childcare, and other allowances.

Park Place Seniors Living is a proud supporter of this initiative. The program will eliminate many barriers to education whilst allowing us to continue enriching the lives of seniors through quality care and services.

“Park Place Seniors Living is very pleased to help create jobs in the community via this excellent program. We will be providing training space at our Oyster Harbour Seniors Community in Ladysmith and have committed to hiring care aide graduates. The program has been very well received by students, staff, our residents, and families” said Al Jina, President of Park Place Seniors Living.”
