Under Construction: Beverly Heights Seniors Community in Edmonton
The Beverly Heights Seniors Community is a comprehensive initiative designed to enhance seniors’ quality of life by providing modern, accessible, and high-quality accommodation and care services. This new continuing care facility will replace the Hardisty Care Centre and will be located on a spacious 4-acre property in the Beverly Heights neighbourhood of Edmonton.
The state-of-the-art four-storey building will feature non-combustible construction, designed in alignment with B3 occupancy requirements and the draft continuing care design standards. It will feature 194 publicly funded long-term care beds and 70 additional private-pay beds, with the expectation that the remaining beds will also become publicly funded once the project is complete. The site has been designed with future growth in mind, offering space for potential expansion to meet the community’s evolving needs.
Construction started in July 2025 and is expected to complete within 30 months.

Located in Edmonton’s Beverly Heights neighbourhood, this new seniors community will offer a welcoming, homelike setting with thoughtfully-designed spaces for connection and care. With a range of inviting amenities and a focus on well-being, residents will be surrounded by support and community.
The facility will feature 18 neighbourhoods of 14 resident rooms and 1 neighbourhood of 12 resident rooms, for a total of 264 resident rooms. Each neighbourhood will have dining areas, a kitchenette, a sunroom, an activity lounge, and an exterior deck, creating spaces for gathering with family and friends.
The basement level will accommodate essential support services, including the kitchen, laundry, mechanical and electrical rooms, offices, a training area, and storage space.
