Designed as a concept that encourages high quality social interactions across generations from early childhood through to older years. It includes supportive living and long-term care for 120 seniors, an early childhood development center, and facilities for non-resident seniors to participate in day programs. With our care provider, Park Place Seniors Living, we go beyond meeting provincial requirements and accreditation standards to provide state-of-the-art care in an environment where seniors can flourish in all aspects of life.

The Supportive & Long-Term Care Hub of Generations consists of 120 continuing care suites (supportive living and long-term care). Generations has made every effort to ensure that our residents receive care from qualified health practitioners who love their jobs and are willing to go the extra mile. Learning from our partner Park Place Seniors Living, we have adopted a resident-centric care plan that allows staff to offer care for our residents on their terms, including when they like to wake up, what activities they enjoy and what they like to do with their time.

Dining at Generations
Each floor includes open-concept dining space where residents can enjoy meals in their neighbourhood with other residents and volunteers. Our culinary team caters to the palates of our residents with 3 flavourful meals per day (usually with a choice between Western and South or Central Asian cuisine), as well as snack options that can be modified to a variety of textures, with the support of our onsite dietician and hospitality team. Residents can also purchase snacks and enjoy a coffee or tea with family and friends at our onsite Bistro. Family and friends may also dine with residents for a nominal fee.

In-House Services And Activities
Residents can enjoy a coffee and programming activities in our arts and crafts area or take in a movie in our theatre. Activities include table tennis, reading to kids, music therapy, bingo, spa days, board games, small wood-working, cooking, gardening, yoga and more. Generations also features an on-site hair salon (at a cost). Generations is conveniently located just minutes away from Calgary’s International Airport and is close to new shopping & eating plazas in Calgary’s North East, as well as CrossIron Mills Shopping Centre.

The Supportive & Long-Term Care Living Hub has been designed using best practices in care in both the design and function. All common areas of the campus are available to residents to use for socializing, programming activities, and dining. Residents can enjoy a coffee in our bistro, partake in a community gardening activity in one of our greenspaces or celebrate special occasions with their loved ones. In addition to communal areas for social engagement, Generations offers spaces for retreat and personal relaxation on each floor. Each communal neighbourhood includes a carpeted resident lounge with fireplace, TV and board games.

Generations Calgary Activities & Events
Engaging, culturally-inclusive programs for Seniors
Through culturally inclusive and relevant programming, our residents can enjoy activities that cater to important celebrations and social occasions. Residents will have access to events and programs in the multi-purpose hall, adult day-stay wellness programs, and engaging activities with children from the on-site Early Childhood Development Centre. Our staff will also work with residents to arrange transportation for personal needs, through the City of Calgary Transit Access system and, to plan for group transportation for any offsite field trips.

Monthly Social Calendars
Our programming calendar includes inclusive activities such as painting and other art projects, movies, table tennis, musical therapy, spa days, small woodworking programs, gardening, yoga, and countless others. All programming will encompass inter-generational activities in collaboration with our Early Childhood Development Centre and staff. Through our extensive volunteer engagement program, our residents will receive an enhanced level of service and support.
