“Park Place purchased this site back in 2003 when it was still a residential care facility. We were asked by Fraser Health and BC Housing to convert it to a much needed Assisted Living community. Courtyard Terrace is a lovely, one-level Assisted Living home located in a quiet residential neighbourhood in Burnaby. As the name suggests, Courtyard Terrace features two beautiful garden courtyards in the centre of each wing which boast clusters of flowering shrubs and trees. Courtyard Terrace is centrally located, at Burke Street & Boundary Road, on the border of Burnaby and Vancouver. This allows residents to remain close to friends and family.

Courtyard Terrace provides picturesque housing and a range of supportive services for seniors who can live independently but may require some assistance with day-to-day activities. The facility offers the privacy and independence of home, combined with the convenience and security of 24-hour assistance and a maintenance-free environment. Here, it is the goal to emphasize the social and personal interaction between tenants so that they can remain active, vital and engaged.

A tenant service plan is the blueprint for tenant service and care. It describes their individual needs, preferences and the specific manner in which this care and service will be delivered. Prepared thoroughly and thoughtfully, with the full participation of the tenant, the service plan is designed to help a tenant achieve their highest level of function and quality of life.

Courtyard Terrace is a long-established seniors’ residence surrounded by mature gardens. The entire building interior was completely renovated in 2006 and offers the latest amenities in Assisted Living. -All private suites; comprised of 36 bachelor suites and 11 one-bedroom suites (for couples)
-Suites offer a choice of pleasing courtyard or neighbourhood views
-Each suite includes a kitchenette and three piece en-suite bathroom
-Each suite has individual thermostats and wall-to-wall carpet
