Park Place Seniors Living and the award-winning Mountain Lake Campus of Care
“This is where it all began… Nelson has a special place in our hearts! Jenny and I first began our working career together in Nelson. It is with enormous pride and gratitude that we return here. Our team has built the ‘most spectacular’ seniors community in Canada. Mountain Lake Seniors Community is a unique oasis of care overlooking beautiful Kootenay Lake. This is our way of returning the generosity and hospitality of the people of Nelson.” - Al Jina, President
Mountain Lake Seniors Community is Park Place’s brand new campus of care, nestled in the city of Nelson. The facility is surrounded by fabulous views overlooking Kootenay Lake and the Selkirk Mountains.
Mountain Lake Seniors Community is a 92-room complex care and 40-suite assisted living campus which opened in November, 2005. Already, Mountain Lake Seniors Community is known for its state-of-the-art cottage-style residences designed for those requiring complex care. Mountain Lake Seniors Community provides a home-like environment exemplified by fun and a relaxed atmosphere throughout the facility.
This assisted living complex is a two-storey chalet-style home with outdoor decks and patios. The tasteful design and interior decorating is a classic setting of comfort and a constant cause for compliments.
The horseshoe-shaped complex allows tenants in assisted living and elders in complex care to mix and mingle along the corridors and in gathering rooms whether they are sharing events or quietly visiting. The family model of care supports elders, tenants, families and visitors to feel welcomed and become an integral part of the ‘family’ at Mountain Lake – just like it would be in one’s home. We welcome you to come and visit, but warn you that it may be difficult to leave!
