DIRECTOR OF CARE - VARIOUS LOWER MAINLAND AND B.C. INTERIOR LOCATIONS
Reporting to the Administrator/Site Leader, the Director of Care (DOC) is responsible for all aspects of residential care and the day-to-day operations within the program area. The DOC leads the program team in attaining the goals and objectives for the service delivery area including the collection and analysis of data related to key performance indicators, performance management, budget administration and control and adherence to licensing requirements.
Qualifications include:
Completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing or related health discipline
Current registration with the corresponding provincial professional body
A minimum of three (3) years management experience involving the supervision of a multidisciplinary team of staff
Experience with budgetary responsibilities and quality management processes
Home and Community Care experience is preferred

REGISTERED NURSES - VARIOUS LOWER MAINLAND AND B.C. INTERIOR LOCATIONS
Reporting to the Director of Care, the RN is responsible for the implementation, co-ordination and supervision of the delivery of a compassionate care model of resident care forour program areas and may also provide direct care for an assigned program area. The RN also manages resident care according to the individual needs of the resident,directs, supervises and evaluates nursing staff in their application of direct basic care, lifts and transfers and treatments. Provides guidance and instruction to staff, families and residents in the delivery of nursing care. Communicates policies, programs and procedures to staff. Holds regular team conferences.
Qualifications include:
Graduation froma degree or diploma programin registered nursing or in registered psychiatric nursing
Current, practicing membership in the applicable professional associations.
Home and Community Care and Team or Program leadership experience preferred.

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES - VARIOUS LOWER MAINLAND AND B.C. INTERIOR LOCATIONS
Reports to the RN in charge or the Director of Care. Able to utilize the current standards of practice as outlined by the college of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC and current legislative full scope of practice, work with other caregivers to evaluate, direct and maintain resident care, including the administration of medications, and complete direct care nursing procedures and assessments. Responsibilities include the direct supervision of care staff to meet the resident’s needs. Also promotes the Client Centered Care (Social Model) Program and philosophy and an atmosphere which encourages choice and self reliance. Provides assistance as necessary to enable each resident to meet their potential.
Requirements are:
Graduation froman accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program with a full scope of practice and curriculum
Current practicing membership with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses.
Experience leading a program or team in a Home and Community Care setting

REGISTERED DIETICIAN - VARIOUS LOWER MAINLAND AND B.C. INTERIOR LOCATIONS
Reports to the Site Leader and is responsible for monitoring trends or patterns of weight loss on a regularly scheduled basis. Also designs, plans, implements and evaluates nutritional care plans for residents, and contributes nutritional concepts and processes to the program staff. Will participate in program planning and evaluation and Quality Improvement activities.
Qualifications include:
Graduation as a Registered Dietician (RD) from a recognized professional program
Membership in Dieticians of Canada (DC) and/or The College of Dietitians of British Columbia (CDBC)
Experience as a clinical dietician in a care setting.
