Sales Manager for New Lifestyle Residence

Ready to discover something new and then successfully promote that new experience to others? A new style of mature living residence in Kamloops is seeking an experienced and dynamic sales manager. This position starts as soon as possible and will last for a minimum of six months. Your primary responsibility will be attracting potential residents and closing the leasing of upscale, brand new units to mature adults seeking an elegant, care free lifestyle.

Job Duties
Assist with the promotion of the residence and manage the leasing of these elegant new units to mature adults by arranging/conducting tours, managing and follow up on all inquiries, building a positive relationship with potential residents, and promoting the residence by developing positive relationships with organizations within the community such as the Chamber of Commerce, Seniors Centres, Community Associations, and volunteer/social groups which attract mature adults. .

In coordination and under the direction of the GM and Director of Sales, the successful Sales Manager will:

  • Plan and host special marketing events;
  • Provide input to advertising campaigns;
  • Respond to inquiries and follow up on leads;
  • Ensure potential new residents are invited to and enjoy special events; and
  • In coordination with the general manager, attend weekly meetings to provide updates on planned activities and to report on sales data (tours, sales, move-ins and move-outs).

As a manager, the successful candidate will also handle the data side of the position, which includes the following tasks:

  • Maintain a data base of prospects and all follow-up activities;
  • Maintain regular contact and follow-up of those on prospect lists;
  • Maintain a current list of rental units filled/available;
  • Provide current information to the General Manager and/or designate immediately upon changes to units rented, units available, and units that have interested parties;
  • Submit monthly statistical reports (move-ins/move-outs/vacancies/monthly revenues) to the General Manager and to the Director of Sales and Marketing;
  • Keep accurate records of all matters related to sales/rentals/occupancy; and
  • Stay within and maintain an accurate budget of all marketing expenditures.

Experience in sales and marketing, public relations, and customer service is required. Applicants must provide proven and measurable sales results obtained during previous employment.
Assets are a proven ability to work with a diverse group of individuals, especially seniors 55+, and a background in related fields, such as real estate, marketing, residential leasing and sales, and seniors' accommodation. A minimum of five years' sales experience is preferred combined with high school graduation.

Job Summary

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

Immediate opening in Duncan for a permanent position as manager of an Assisted Living residence. 30-hour per week position. Exact work schedule is negotiable.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Administrator, the Assisted Living Manager oversees the day to day operation of the Assisted Living residence, which is located in Duncan, B.C. on Vancouver Island.

Responsibilities include:

  • Direct support to residents and families
  • Liaison with Home & Community Care and other allied health professionals regarding services provided to residents and assessments of residents in our care;
  • Ensuring resident-focused care is provided and Park Place and Licensing standards are met
  • Handling admittance, exit plans, and/or evictions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directly oversees the Assisted Living Residence, responsible for meeting and maintaining home as per guidelines outlined by Office of the Assisted Living Registrar and other partners as applicable

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team and the resident and/or family, the Dietitian assesses all residents upon admission and annually to complete a documented, in-depth nutritional assessment, based on the resident’s needs, abilities, and goals.

The Dietitian also:

  • Provides consultation to the Food Services Manager in planning the menu and textured diets, and other dietary matters as they arise;
  • Approves the rotating menu;
  • Performs swallowing assessments and makes recommendations on diet textures, feeding techniques, and safety precautions;
  • Provides staff in-service education on nutrition related topics (e.g. dysphagia, therapeutic diets).
  • Routinely reviews resident weight data and follows up with an in-depth nutritional assessment and plan revision as appropriate;
  • Maintains both the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and the Resident Assessment Protocols (RAPs) as both pertain to nutrition, which includes but is not limited to: care plans, progress notes, assessments, profiles and/or tracking;
  • Acts as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, empathy, trust and respect in all interpersonal relationships, and recognizes personal impact on team dynamics;
  • Focuses on quality of care and safety assurance and improvement by taking a leadership role in PPSL site committees (eg. Site Leadership, Resident Council); and
  • Performs other related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Must have a university degree in Food and Nutrition or a related field of study and be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.

Two (2) years recent related experience is an asset but not mandatory.

Overview
Under the clinical direction of the Operations Manager, RN, and Site Leader, the LPN leads a team of RCAs that oversee the unique Resident's Day daily schedule established for each resident.

The LPN’s daily responsibilities include:

  1. ensuring that the each resident's unique Resident's Day and Care Plan is up to date; and
  2. reporting on progress and/or changes that are initiated by the support team or the physician.

Responsibilities:

The LPN must be able to perform the full range of nursing procedures that include:

  • administrating oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and topical medication;
  • taking vital signs;
  • assessing resident physical and mental condition;
  • carrying out glucometer readings;
  • overseeing oxygen therapy,
  • participating in resident care conferences; and

Dietary Aide for Fort Langley Seniors Community - casual

Fort Langley Seniors Community has an opening for a Dietary Aide. This is a Casual but frequently scheduled position that provides coverage when other employees are sick or on vacation. Requirements are Level One Food Safe certification and Grade 12 graduation. Experience in residential care food services, hospital food services, or the hospitality industry is preferred.

Job Overview

Position Overview
Under the direction of the Recreation & Volunteer Manager or designate, assists in planning, implementing and evaluating recreation programs to meet the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and cultural needs and interests of the residents.

Responsibilities

  • Carries out established recreation programs including outings, exercises, crafts, social events, entertainment, games, etc.
